Amy has been riding since she was eight years old, but started riding hunt seat and showing competitively as an adult.  A Connecticut native, she has also lived in Massachusetts and Alaska.  A graduate of the University of Connecticut where she earned a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education, she also studied Equine Science, and interned at High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center in Old Lyme, CT where she earned NARHA certification as a therapeutic riding instructor.  Amy previously worked as an equine veterinary technician as well.

Before coming to ABF Equine, Amy worked as Assistant Barn Manager at Windcrest Farm in Hebron, CT, where she oversaw the daily care of 50 horses and ran the farm’s summer camp program.  While at Windcrest she trained with Armand and Martha Chenelle and Holly Rebello, and showed competitively.  She then served as Barn Manager of a small private horse facility in Colchester, CT, where she also taught lessons to students of varying ages and abilities.

Amy and her horse Storm have won the Folly Farm Classic, and were Reserve Champion at Rhode Island Medal Finals.  They have also placed at CHJA Medal Finals.  Amy and Storm have fun riding in the jumpers, trail riding, and hunter pacing.
