ABF Equine specializes in hunt seat equitation, which is a forward style of riding that is originally based on the tradition of fox hunting in the field. Hunt seat riding includes flat work as well as jumping.
We currently offer lessons to beginner through advanced level riders. Lessons are offered individually or in groups, based on the rider’s experience. Beginners will receive one-on-one attention while learning the basics, including grooming, tacking and un-tacking, horsemanship, and the essentials of riding. Riders may advance to a group as they become proficient at essential care of the horse and build a foundation for their riding. Intermediate riders will progress through multiple levels of riding as their skills continue to develop.
We are dedicated to helping the rider develop a thorough understanding of good horsemanship, communication between horse and rider, and the ability to pursue their goals in a safe and fun environment. If you are interested in learning to ride or refining your skills, please contact one of our trainers.
